2. Hosting and technical provision
This website is provided through ChatGPT Sites. The contractual provider for Sites hosting is OpenAI Ireland Ltd. Processing of personal data on our behalf is governed by the ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum (Sites DPA). This supplements the terms of use and is incorporated when the relevant service is used.
When you visit the website, data processed includes your IP address, time of access, requested address, browser and device information, and technical connection and log data. This supports delivery, stability and security, and protection against misuse. The hosting provider also supplies technical usage summaries of page views and visitors. This processing is separate from any optional Google Analytics measurement we implement.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in the secure, reliable operation and technical maintenance of the website. Recipients are OpenAI and the subprocessors used for hosting; the current list is published by OpenAI.
Processing outside the EEA, particularly in the USA, is possible. Under the Sites DPA, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or applicable adequacy decisions. Exclusively Austrian or exclusively European hosting is not guaranteed for this website.
Technical logs are processed in accordance with the hosting provider’s applicable deletion and security periods. Retention is governed by the hosting provider’s requirements and its privacy terms and data processing terms (Sites DPA).
3. Contact by email or telephone
When you contact us, we process the information you provide, particularly your name, contact details and enquiry, to respond to you. The website does not itself send an enquiry form to a separate form server; email and telephone links open your respective application.
The website does not transmit form data itself. Your enquiry is prepared locally in your browser as an email draft. Your details are only transmitted to LONCIUM when you send this email yourself in your email app. Form contents are not sent to Google Analytics or other services.
For a quotation, visit, order or contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is in responding to your contact. Providing details is voluntary, but without necessary contact information we may be unable to reply.
General enquiries that do not lead to a contractual relationship are normally deleted no later than six months after handling is completed. Where a contract is concluded, statutory retention duties apply, or records are needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, necessary documents are retained for longer. Access is limited to responsible personnel and necessary technical email or IT service providers.
4. External links
The LONCIUM online shop on Shopify, the Bierhotel, social media services and route planning are included as links. Their content is not loaded automatically. Only when you click a link does your browser connect to that service; your IP address and browser information may then be transmitted. The respective operator’s privacy information applies there.

5. Cookies and local storage
Without consent, our own website uses no optional analytics or advertising cookies. Technically necessary storage is used in particular to remember your privacy choice. The local-storage entry “loncium_brewery_privacy_v1” records your choice, time and version number for up to 180 days. You can delete it in your browser settings; any required choice will then be requested again.
Technically necessary access falls within the exception in Section 165(3) TKG 2021; associated personal-data processing relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Non-essential statistics are used only after consent under Section 165(3) TKG 2021 and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
6. Google Analytics 4 – only on www.loncium.at and with consent
We have integrated Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-YDPVM5T0QW. Measurement is technically blocked on the preview site. It can load only on https://www.loncium.at and after your explicit consent through the privacy settings.
The provider is Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The purpose is audience measurement and improving the website. The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) TKG 2021.
After consent, pseudonymous usage data, page views, and browser and device information may be processed. The IP address is technically processed for the connection and, according to Google, to derive an approximate location; Google states that IP addresses of users in the EU are not logged or stored. Our own events measure clicks on shop and hotel links, tour, workshop and business enquiries, and telephone and email links. Shop clicks may include a beer name. Enquiry contents, telephone numbers and email addresses are not transmitted as custom event parameters.
Before consent, no Google script is loaded and no connection to Google is made for Analytics (Basic Consent Mode). analytics_storage defaults to denied and changes to granted only after consent. ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization always remain denied. Google Signals, advertising personalisation and remarketing are not used.
Transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible. Google declares certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; relevant transfers to certified recipients rely on the applicable adequacy decision. The relevant Google data processing terms also apply.
A retention period of 14 months is intended for user and event data. Before launch, this period must also be set and confirmed in the GA4 property; it cannot be set by the measurement ID or website code. This setting does not cover all aggregated standard reports. Our integration limits Analytics cookies to a maximum of 180 days without automatic renewal.
Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time through “Privacy Settings” in the footer, with effect for the future. On withdrawal, measurement is blocked, Analytics cookies are deleted as far as technically possible, and the page reloads without Analytics. Withdrawal does not affect data already lawfully processed.

7. Your rights
Subject to the relevant legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, contact bier@loncium.at. If necessary to identify you securely, we may request reasonable proof of identity. Our own website does not carry out solely automated decision-making, including profiling, with legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Right to complain
If you believe that processing your personal data infringes data protection law, you may complain to a competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority: www.dsb.gv.at.
